Arsenal Credit Union Awards $4,200 in College Scholarships
Arsenal Credit Union honored local high school graduates Brendan Keuss, Peyton Bowe and Taylor Paluczak with $4,200 scholarships based on their superior academic performance, extracurricular activities and involvement in the St. Louis community.
Arsenal Credit Union has offered financial support to St. Louis-area graduates for 18 consecutive years, distributing close to $55,000 to more than 60 students.
“The best credit unions serve the financial well-being of their communities in every way possible,” said Casey Bond, content director for GOBankingRates. “Arsenal Credit Union is doing just that by helping local students access higher education opportunities and alleviating the burdensome debt that so many of today’s graduates face.”
“Having an education is so important to being successful in life,” said Ken Moser, vice president of marketing at Arsenal Credit Union. “This applies to being financially literate, too.
“Teaching people about money and helping them better manage it is at the heart of what we do as a credit union. Annually awarding college scholarships to deserving young men and women who are the future leaders of our communities is an extension of our core mission and one of the wisest investments we can make.”
Although this scholarship rewards high school seniors, the credit union helps members excel with money management at any age with its Tracker Kids Club, Advantage Point Teen Club and Prime Advantage 50+ Club savings accounts.
The community institution also provides savings and planning calculators, ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions and financial literacy seminars — all invaluable resources for incoming college students or recent graduates who face an ever-evolving economic landscape.
