“Seussical” Comes to Cohen Children’s Medical Center

Patients and their families enjoyed a unique theatrical experience recently at Cohen Children’s Medical Center as they viewed a masterful production of “Seussical,” a full-blown musical production presented by the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport, LI. Sponsored jointly by Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Cohen, the production featured a multi-talented troupe of actors in full Seuss regalia. In preparation for the performance, the hospital’s lobby was transformed into an intimate theatre setting, complete with a working stage, theatrical lighting, and a make-shift backstage area. Following the one -hour production, cast members signed colorful playbills designed especially for children. And, for those patients unable to leave their rooms, the entire performance was telecast live through the hospital’s video system.
